About The Clinic
Guelph Performance Therapy is a full service Athletic Therapy & Massage Therapy clinic located within Moves Fitness in Guelph.
Formerly known as Alana Gulka Athletic Therapy, the clinic was opened in January of 2015, and has continued to grow ever since.
Every client at Guelph Performance Therapy is treated with respect and care, and with 100% of their therapist's attention during their appointment. Our treatment style revolves around individualized care, and creating an extremely positive environment for healing, progression, and active lifestyles.
Alana Gulka is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Athletic Therapist, and the owner of Guelph Performance Therapy.
Alana Graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science, focusing on medical sciences. While there, she was a member of the Varsity Rowing team, and learned about the profession of Athletic Therapy following a major injury. Immediately after graduation, she began studying Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College, subsequently graduating and certifying in Spring of 2014. She then went on to the Ontario College of Health and Technology to obtain her Diploma of Massage Therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2016.
While still studying towards her degree in Athletic Therapy, Alana began working with teams and elite athletes, and her experience includes working with the University of Guelph football and wrestling teams, Jr. National indoor and outdoor field hockey teams, and the Ontario Minor Wrestling Association. Alana also had opportunity to work with the PanAm and ParaPanAm games in 2015, as well as many other major international events for field hockey, badminton, gymnastics, wrestling, and lacrosse.
